In 2016, Synchrony Financial awarded five partners the Working Forward Small Business Award to help them successfully build their businesses and local communities. The winners each received $10,000 to help grow their business, plus an additional $10,000 to make a positive impact in their community.
Bryson City Bicycles in North Carolina used their award to create an e-commerce website for their renowned bicycle shop. To support their tight-knit community, they gifted bikes and accessories to the local high school.
Bryson City Bicycles owners, Diane Cutler and Andy Zivinsky, have clearly made an impact on their community that goes beyond donating bikes, helmets and a storage trailer. Their ambition to establish a better bike culture and help students lead active lifestyles has touched lives throughout Bryson City.
